Holistic Housecall Veterinary Service Lisa Hoberg DVM, CVA
About Dr. Lisa Hoberg
I graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and received my early training in holistic Veterinary medicine working alongside Dr. Richard Kearns at his clinic in Hingham, MA. Dr. Kearns is considered one of the "founding fathers" of veterinary holistic medicine and instilled in me the love of medicine, the thrill of learning something new, the importance of a good diet, and the wisdom to consider the "whole pet" in my veterinary practice.
I obtained certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1991 and moved to Portland in 1993. I completed coursework in Veterinary Homeopathy with Richard Pitcairn, DVM, PhD in 1997 and the Advanced Homeopathy Course in 1999. Through the late 1990s and early 2000s I worked part-time at the Hawthorne Veterinary Clinic (formerly Whole Pet Vet Clinic) and the Holistic Pet Vet Clinic in Tigard while establishing Holistic Housecall Veterinary Service. My husband Chris Cartwright and I enjoy the company of our geriatric dog Teddy. I am a lifelong yoga student and an avid figure skater, judge and fan of figure skating.
